Welcome to Kathmandu, Nepal. Upon arrival at the airport, clear all the immigration formalities and outside the airport, our team members will be waiting outside with the Pla-card. You will then be transferred to the hotel.

Remaining day at leisure or stroll around the area.

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, we will drive to Dhulikhel. Upon arrival, we will start our hike to Namo Buddha. 

Namo Buddha Hike

Hike duration of approx. 30 mins each way

From the main temple to the monastery, it is approx. 30 minutes uphill hike through the Namobuddha forest. Upon reaching the point, one can witness the glistened with distant snowcapped mountains while the fluttering praying flags make this peaceful and harmonious site even more adorned. 

Situated between Panauti and Banepa on a slightly elevated land, is a sacred Buddhist pilgrimage site of Namo Buddha.  ThranguTashiYangtse Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries is also the most important Buddhist pilgrimage site in Nepal and one of the holiest in the world. It is known as the place where the Buddha, in a previous life as a prince, gave his body to a starving tigress and her cubs.

Later check in to the hotel.

Overnight at Hotel in Dhulikhel; (B/L/D)

Leisurely breakfast at the hotel. Later we will drive back to Kathmandu. En-route visit the ancient city of Bhaktapur. 

Visit Bhaktapur or Bhadgaon translates as the ‘City of Devotees’. Still untouched by rapid urbanization, Bhaktapur retains its charm by its brick-paved roads, red brick houses, and a way of life that goes back to medieval times.

Enjoy Juju Dhau, a traditional curd. Subject to extra cost.

Later we will visit Boudhanath. Boudhanath is one of the most imposing landmarks and a center of Tibetan Buddism. The stupa stands on a massive three-level mandala-style platform. This stupa is one of the largest in the world.

Offer butter lamps and prayer flags. Subject to extra cost. 

Then circumambulate around the stupa to enjoy the peace and serenity environment. 

Then drive to Swayambunath. Swayambunath a UNESCO WORLD Heritage Site. This ancient stupa is the most sacred Buddhist shrine of Nepal and is also known as a Self-Created stupa.

Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu; (B/L/D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will drive to the south of Kathmandu to visit the different monasteries of Pharping.

Also known as Yanglesho / Phamting, Pharping is a small Newar town lying above the Bagmati River on the southern edge of the Kathmandu valley. It is the place where Guru Padmasambhava attained the state of enlightenment. 

The town is scattered by many important Buddhist pilgrimage sites along with several Buddhist monasteries and meditation retreat centers. The place also consists of two major caves; Yanglesho cave and Asura cave, blessed by Padmasambhava. 

Some of the well-known sites are Dollu Monastery, Samye Memorial Monastery, Bajrayogini Temple, NeydoTashiCholing Monastery.  

Later drive back to the hotel. The remaining day is at leisure.

Evening, Nepali Khana dinner with a cultural dance performance. 

Overnight at Hotels in Kathmandu (B/L/D)

Leisurely breakfast at the hotel. Today, depending on the flight schedule, you will be transferred to the airport for your final departure.

The reporting time at the airport is 3 hrs. prior to the departure.

Most of the hotel’s check-in time is after 2 PM and check-out time is before 12 noon.
